With over 30 years of knowledge in the industry home and abroad, and an enthusiastic attitude that is often reminiscent of first year apprenticeships with it all before them, Gary’s attitude is ‘it’s what the customer wants and demands’
Our bistro menu features pub staples of fish and chips and schnitzels but what really sets us apart, are our additional offerings that would sit outside the norm of a bistro. Our salad and vegetable bar is continually evolving with the seasons and styles. Currently featuring assorted heirloom carrots steamed or duck fat roasted potatoes; for the salad lovers our team is serving up roasted vegetable and cous cous salad; Quinoa with pistachios, cranberries and wild rocket; or Lentils, celery and champignons, mushrooms and a Tarragon Dressing with all options being Gluten Free. Not forgetting our seasonal al la carte menu featuring Braised Beef Cheeks with cauliflower and parsnip puree, or Caramelized Jumbo Japanese Scallops on crispy white polenta.
The Bistro whilst expansive has allowed us to utilize every aspect of hotel dining, and opened up mouthwatering meals and beautifully matched and crafted wines to all diners of Adelaide. The clever use of glass dividers, lighting and décor has paved the opportunity to provide an extensive range of options for the customers dining experience. Intimate evenings of two, casual get together catch ups for couples or birthday celebrations for groups are all catered for under the one roof without difficulty.
The wine list has gone through modest changes over the last year. With 58 by the glass excluding fortified and stickies, and144 by the bottle on the list, unpretentious whilst extensive offering something from all of South Australia’s major wine regions. Over the year Venue Manager Thomas French has worked in conjunction with Samuel and local distributors to offer a diverse range of wines. Although spoilt in SA we still throw in some quality wines from overseas and interstate to cap of a list that can cater to all tastes and budgets.
